Preorder Policy

What is a pre-order?

A pre-order is a contract to acquire an item before it is available in stores. Agesthreeandup.com offers many items throughout the year as pre-order for the benefit of our shoppers to ensure pre-release items are obtainable and affordable.

Why should I pre-order?

One of the benefits of preordering is a lower price for each item. As we require payment of each item before it arrives in stores all preorders are available at less then what we would normally charge for them.

When do I pay?

We require payment of pre-order items when we're told that it's being shipped to us from the manufacturer.  When this happens we will bill the credit card number associated with your order, or request a paypal payment from you.  At that time your funds are "locked-in" and dedicated towards the items. If you cancel your order at any time after payment you are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

What are the payment methods?

We accept payment for pre-orders in four ways:

1) Credit Card - You place your order as you normally would, and we bill your credit card when we're told the item is shipping to us.

2) Paypal - Select "Cheque / Money Order" as your payment method upon checkout, and note in your order comments that you would like to pay via Paypal for your pre-order.  We will send a Paypal payment request to you when we're told the item is shipping to us.  Do not select Paypal, or you will immediately pay in full for your pre-order (see #4 below).

3) Cheque / Money Order - We will e-mail you and request payment when we're told an item is shipping to us.

4) Pay-In-Full (Using Paypal) - Select "Paypal" as your payment method and pay-in-full for the item.  Be aware that your funds are "locked in" immediately and you will be subject to the 15% restocking fee if you decide to cancel your order.

You can choose to pay-in-full for your pre-order at any time by contacting us if you wish to do so.

Can I modify my pre-order?

Items can be removed from preorders before they come into stock, but if payment has been made for the item then you will be charged a 15% restocking fee as your funds have already been dedicated to your item.  You can, as an alternative to being charged, immediately transfer the 15% fee to pay for another existing pre-order or a new order, but this can only be done between the time of payment and our aquisition of the item.  If the item is in stock waiting for other pieces of your order to arrive you will be charged the 15% restock fee.  If an item has not been paid for then you may remove it without penalty.  You may change your pre-orders by contacting us via our contact page.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

You may cancel your pre-order, but any items that have been paid for will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  If your order has not been paid for then you may cancel it without penalty.  Pre-orders may be cancelled by contacting us via our contact page.

What about "In-Transit" items?

If your order consists of "In-Transit" items, then payment is requested for the items as if they were in-stock.  All orders that are placed while in transit are subject to our 15% restocking fee upon cancellation.

Something I ordered went on sale, but I still don't have it!  Can I get a retroactive discount?

We do not grant retroactive discounts.  If a customer places a large order and many items are sitting in our warehouse waiting for others to arrive, then the risk of a sale is that of the customer.  Many customers place large orders to save on shipping due to our flat-rate, but if one of those items goes on sale before we can ship your entire order then we are not obliged to grant you a retroactive discount.  We recommend avoiding huge orders or combining pre-orders with regular items for this reason.

Will I be the first to get my item?

We cannot guarantee that you will receive your order "early".  Unexpected delays can happen, especially when dealing with foreign product and high demand.

I've been waiting forever for my order to complete.  Can you just send me what you have now?

Yes, we will ship everything you have ordered that is in stock to you at our flat-rate.  You will be charged the flat-rate again when your other items ship.
